I would like to know before I buy two new Sonos One to make my surround setup compatible, if it will work with apple HomeKit or not? If not, are there any way to make it work correctly? For example keeping my play 1s in the surround and buying 1 Sonos One to get AirPlay to work? I’m very confused and cannot figure out the correct way to make this work.
You'll then see a list of compatible speakers by location. Choose a speaker and then select Add Google Assistant. If given a choice between Standard or Boost setup, select Standard. All things considered, it's just nice to finally have native integration between Google and Sonos.
Use the Google Assistant with your Sonos speaker
You can also choose to have a Sonos speaker as the default playback device from your Nest Hub, Google Home and other Assistant devices. After the Google Assistant has been set up, you’ll be given some sample commands to test with Sonos to make sure it’s working properly. You can also select a default speaker so content always plays in a specific room without saying the room name in the command. I suspect, as a result, none of these can be set as the default music player. The Google Home can only send music to the Chomecast Audio that is linked to the Google Home app on your mobile device. When you have multiple services connected, you tell the Google Home which service you want it to play music from when you speak to it.

While you can't have Alexa and Google Assistant running simultaneously, it's easy to switch between the two leading smart home voice assistants. I would love if Sonos allowed me to use them in my home security. I have speakers everywhere it would be an awesome feature if the microphone could detect glass breaking and sound an alarm through the speaker. I have Sonos that work with Google Assistant. I believe you have to tell assistant to play the music on the name of the device.

I think it really has to do with not being left out when consumers are making purchase decisions on their speakers. After a year-and-a-half of waiting, Sonos officially supports the Google Assistant. I’m not sure what level setting to recommend. Just do a little experimentation and trust your ears. Leave it at the setting that sounds best to you.
You're going to have to choose your champion, as you can't mix and match assistants across your Sonos speakers in the home and have them intertwine smoothly. It's too bad that a company as big and experienced as Sonos with music streaming and a company as big as Google can't figure out this integration more quickly. I am sincerely disappointed to be honest. As much as I like google home, Sonos is just better.

I got online with Google and their solution was to reboot the cable modem and restart Chromecast Audio. That worked for about 10 minutes and the stuttering began again. It’s inconsistent… sometimes it’ll play for 20 minutes with only minor glitches, sometimes the dropouts start immediately. There is a chance that in the future you may be able to send audio to Sonos using voice commands and Google Home, without needing Chromecast Audio devices. However, plans to develop this integration have not been shared publicly by either Google or Sonos at this time.
